2006 Toyota Tundra Ticking Noise
We have only noticed the sound when it is being driven.
2006 toyota tundra ticking noise. 261 people reported this problem. The source of the noise may be a damaged transmission coupling. I have no heard the noise in a while as it is warm here now but after searching through Youtube I found a Tundra.
Totally normal but annoying Ive. Hot or cold doesnt change it. There is a load noise coming from the back side of the motor that sounds like a Vacuum cleaner motor electric motor.
It usually has to be below 40 F for the noise to happen. Have probably about 2K on the lift and all seemed fine except i just started hearingfeeling a noise from somewhere in the front. I recently purchased a 2000 Toyota tundra access cab V8 47 4x4 and when it starts or is accelerating their is this ticking noise in the engine.
The serpentine belt can cause the water pump to go bad if its been improperly installed or if theres too much tension on it. This did not fix. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic where it discovered that the front lower ball joints had started to wear.
Just finish doing timing belt sepentine and all pulleys idlers fan clutch fan mount. The V8 models can experience exhaust manifold failures. This noise only happens when it is cold outside BUT it will happen when the motor is up to operating temperature as well as when it is cold.
If I turmn it off and then restart it will usually go away. Can anyone tell me what cause this knocking. I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra limited 47l I bought it a few months ago since I didnt know how well the previus owner maintained I have been doing all types of maintenance to it it has 220000 miles.
